“What’s understood don’t have to be explained.
But you don’t understand me, so let me explain.”
-WEEZY F. BABY

Allow me to introduce myself. Je m’appelle (my name is) Isabelle Marie Hoang Thi Bach Yen. Shorten it as you wish, it doesn’t matter much to me. Does my age really make a difference? Well if so, I’m eighteen years old. Now, I’m not going to divulge my life’s experiences to you so if you’re looking for that, you will not find any revelations here. However, I assume you’re probably wondering about the poems written on my “HOME” page; I wrote them. Most people don’t understand me. Most people call me “Bizzar.” Honestly, I don’t understand most people and plus I’d rather disdain them. Far too many people live inside this heightened superficial circle of hierarchy.  Am I suppose to apologize for being a deviant? Well, it’s a shame I won’t. Anyways back to my poetry, I’ve been writing since I was ten. I guess I’ll give you a brief synopsis of my young poetry writing days. After my parents decided to move across town, my love for reading and writing subsequently developed.  Yet, it was always a closeted hobby, definitely was not something I wanted to “show off” to the kids at school. I was new then, and like most kids; I just wanted to fit in. I was such a simpleton back then, always trying to pull off this “tough girl,” image. It’s quite funny thinking back on it, I used to be bad-ass in the mornings and pussy-shit during the nights. I would come home from school everyday wanting to write. I used up the pack of ten notebooks that my mother bought from Costco, and kept two diaries. I’m not exactly sure how I got motivated to write these incredibly cheesy metaphoric rhymes but they paint an escape to my emotions. The first time I disclosed a journal to one of my friends was in 8th grade; I had no idea it’d make me feel so liberated. I believe you’re also aware of the password protection on some of my posts, and confused as to why I left the password on each title; it’s because I wanted my poems to stand out more. I mean if you want to read about my day, just type in the password and read right ahead.
