Going to listen to the old man talk

because the old man knows the way.

he’s walked the line, he knows the grind

he’s the living legend in my mind.

Going to let the old man lead

cause the old man knows the way

he’s weathered the storm, he can hold his own,

he’s is apart of my soul and home.

that his journey’s not gone to waste

I will see it through, that when he’s gone

sometimes i feel like my soul is condemned.
got thoughts in my head, got crosses to plant.
got people whispering like they know who i am.
I’m done trying to find my balance with them.
To all the angels and demons who seek me
I feel like I’m on the brink of letting go completely.
And I pray that my lord forgives me,
For all the people I’ve put beneath me.

I’m on the lightrail now
Trying to figure me out
What am I looking for?
What do I want more?
Is he the one for me?
Will he love me for me?
Why do I feel like I want to hide?
Is there someone else I like?
I can’t keep going back and forth
How can I keep from wanting more?
Every night in bed I think of love
But why isn’t he the one I’m thinking of??
Why am I confused?
I’m supposed to know exactly what to do….

What it is, I cannot see.
nor figure out
for the life of me
I search and search
but nothing found
this emptiness
has made it’s rounds
I’m all alone

from underneath
they call and call

but slow, they came

in hopes, to find
a keeping sight

I’m blind, the light

As I lay at night I think to me
if I was not, what I would be
If my youth had gone like a breeze
Would I have grown a life of ease?

And would it be that the life of ease
not be the life that life should be?
But if it were the life to be,
Would I lay at night
